Kejriwal’s judicial custody extended till Aug 8

New Delhi, July 25 (UNI) A Special Court in Delhi on Thursday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till August 8 in a corruption case related to the Delhi excise policy scam registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Special Judge Kaveri Baweja extended the judicial custody of Kejriwal, who is lodged in jail, through video conferencing.

The Chief Minister’s custody in a separate money laundering case registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was extended till July 31.

Kejriwal was presented before the Special Judge at Rouse Avenue, New Delhi, through video conferencing from Tihar jail.

The Special Court has also extended the judicial custody of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha and other accused till July 31 in the money laundering case.
